Rick Darling has been in the field of traffic safety for over 28 years, having begun his career with Easy Method Driving School, Inc., a family business. Rick has personally taught over 3,000 students how to drive and teaches on any vehicle from motorcycle to tractor trailer. Rick received his Bachelor's degree in 1976 and is a certified high school Driver Education Instructor Trainer. Rick's defensive driving background began informally with his father and founder of Easy Method Driving School, William E. Darling, who was president of the Federal Safety Council, Eastern Seaboard in the 1960's and founded Easy Method Driving School, Inc. in 1961.

Rick has served on round table discussions with members of the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee and has been a guest speaker for various organizations, including trucking companies, the Rotary Club, and other civic organizations. Rick also hosted his own radio program, "In The Driver's Seat."

Joanne earned her MA in education from the University at Albany and also holds an AAS degree in business. She is certified with NY State as a Commercial Driving Instructor, a Driver Education Instructor, an English teacher, and a School Supervisor. Joanne has been with Easy Method Driving School, Inc. since her marriage to Rick in 1975. She and Rick are the parents of seven children.

Steven is the fourth of the Darling children and represents the third generation of Darlings in Traffic Safety. Steven attended Word of Life Bible Institute and Liberty University to study Business. He is a licensed Commercial Driving School Instructor and has brought a fresh energy to Easy Method Driving School, Inc. since joining our staff in 2001.
